How do you file for earned income credit online?

i am v ery confused. im trying to do it online thru an irs recognized site. i dont see anything bout it. is it already included in the form? only made 7645 and paid 300 in fed tax. i got an estimate of 700 after a regular filing and on the eic calculation page i got 400. so is the 700 is a total of 300 + 400?

Yes, the EIC amount is included in your refund along with the $300 you had withheld. You don't do a separate filing for EIC, it's calculated in as part of your refund.
Reply:This sounds like the correct figure, $700. If you are single, have no qualifying children and you are at least 25 years old, but under 65, you could qualify for approx. $400 of EIC. So you would receive a refund of the $300 you had withheld plus the EIC amount, total $700.

Reply:It has to be--that's the only way you'd get back more than what you had paid in.
